Awkwafina
American musician and actor Awkwafina made her debut with humorous hip-hop tracks that addressed sexual identity and race with a boldly comedic perspective before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was via the trumpet. Then, she started the classical and hip-hop genres. In college, she studied writing and women's studies. Then, she even had some time learning Mandarin at the University of Beijing. Not until after graduation did she begin to concentrate on music. After becoming famous through the Internet, her My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. It also included other popular hits, including the body positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC Bitche$1. The single that debuted was is directly linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. After a successful career as a performer and songwriter, she chose to assume the character of actress. She has appeared in films including Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, her breakthrough roles included Dude Ocean's 8 along with Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
